How are the paintings produced?

Each painting is produced using premium grade acrylic paints. This produces a painting with vibrant and long lasting colour. We paint directly onto pre-stretched canvas panels. These are then finished with a satin UV protective varnish. We then affix d-rings and cord to the reverse so that the paintings are ready to hang.

How are Monkey Ink products dispatched?

Each painting is ready to hang and all you need is a hammer, a nail and a wall. We package each painting in PVC sheeting and then bubble wrap them to protect them from the rigours of delivery. Each caricature drawing is rolled into a cardboard tube or sent mounted onto card in protective cardboard backed envelopes. At the moment we are only shipping within the UK but we will be offering international delivery at a later date. Please check back regularly for an update.

Payment

Monkey Ink currently accept crossed cheques made payable to Mr Matthew Thatcher. Monkey Ink will notify you via email once the cheque has cleared and then work will begin on the finished artwork. We are currently looking at Paypal as an additional option to pay online. Please check back regularly for an update.

Do you produce paintings to order?

You name them and we will paint them! We are more than happy to discuss size, colours and subject matter with you. Simply email us for further information with a few details about your idea and we will get right back to you.

How do I provide images for you to work from?

We can accept images by post or electronically. Please ensure that you provide two or three images with enough detail that we can discern eye and hair colour from them. Please include a short paragraph describing the people’s character so that we can incorporate this into the finished caricature.

Alternatively you can email digital or scanned images using this email address: matt@monkeyink.co.uk. Please try to limit each email size to 5mb. You can break down multiple images into separate emails if that helps reduce the size. Saving your images as a JPEG format helps in reducing file size.

Do I get my images back?

Monkey Ink will take the greatest care in handling your images. We will post them back to you with the finished artworks.

NB Please note that Monkey Ink recommend that you send us copies of your treasured images. Monkey Ink will not be held responsible for any damage or loss incurred to items sent to our address.

When will I receive my work of art?

Monkey Ink prides itself on producing the best quality artwork possible. We will dispatch the picture when we are happy with the result and this will normally be 21 days from time of order but no longer than 28 days. We will keep you informed via email of the state of your order.
